All through the night

Hooray! Elijah slept through again! In fact, he's still asleep now, which is odd, as we are coming up to 12 hours straight sleep. I had to keep checking he was breathing as I'm that used to a disturbed night's sleep.

I don't know myself this morning: I've had breakfast, showered, hung out a load of washing and am now blogging, all before being summoned by the Bugalugs.

How did this happen? I don't know. Maybe the solids have kicked in. Maybe it's because we kept him up after his final feed so he could have cuddles with Daddy. Maybe it's because we didn't leave the house yesterday. Maybe he just finally wore himself out and crashed.

All I can say is that I'm thankful that this morning I feel almost human again.

Congrats on the sleep through. It's funny how things turn around in time. I remember the sleepless nights of infancy. Now, my daughter is twenty and she still wakes me up when she come in around 2:30 a.m.

I guess it's a cycle that never fully runs it course.
