Leaves and pizza

We decided to go for a picnic on the long weekend. It was a glorious day.

Elijah went walkabout as soon as we found a table and came across a large pile of leaves. Hilarity ensued.

After that bit of fun, Daddy and I ate pizza and let Elijah have a taste. We weren't sure how he'd react to it. He was curious enough to give it a go.

He ate most of the toppings, but wasn't keen on the salami or pepperoni (whichever one it was). He showed no interest in the crust either. So at least we know that he'll eat cheese, capsicum, pineapple, mushroom and beef!

And after all that, there was still time for some horsing around with Daddy!

I have never had a pizza picnic. I'll have to give it a try -- sans the [gross] pineapple.

That leaf play looked like fun!

Quilly - We were intending to do chicken and salad, but the local pizza place were offering 60% off at lunch time on the long weekend, so we couldn't resist! And what's wrong with pineapple?

Stace - It was totally unexpected and serendipitous!

I've been checking your blog for a long while now since you posted a link on the baby forums of ddn. I've never commented before but I just have to now because I love these pictures of him playing in the leaves! He's so cute with that smile and red hair of his!

oddly enough.. leaves are a big thing i miss about canberra, leaves on the ground i mean.. in big sweeping piles. Living in barton was great for leaves, i used to kick up sprays all the way to work.

It's also one of my first memories of canberra - we did a family trip there when i was 11 and my brother 9, both still young enough to get distracted in one of canberra's parks ( i still have no idea which one ) for what seemed like hours, rolling in the leaves and burying each other by turns.

Lovely photos :)
