A whole other world

While Mummy was busy working on a Sunday, the boy and I decided that it was a good time to check out one of the many little parks that are within 5 minutes walk from our house.

The play equipment was similar to what he was used to, but at the same time it was completely different.  Things were different shapes, equipment was at different heights and even the safety bark was of a different quality (largely devoid of rubbish for a start, and refreshingly clear of broken glass around the outside for another!).

There was the random low-slung chain...

...the surprisingly within reach swing...

...and the slippery side that steadfastly refused to let him defy gravity.

In the end, he spent most of his time doing what the does best in parks - covering everything in bark.

All in all, a successful day.  We love the park.
