A born performer

This afternoon, after his nap, Elijah was around a corner where I couldn't see him, totally cracking himself up. I asked him what he was doing and he answered, between giggles, "Falling over!" I looked, and sure enough, he was practising pratfalls!

Then later this afternoon, Elijah was at dance class with me. Quite often he amuses himself by reading books or playing with cars and occasionally watching the dancers to see what they are doing. Today, I caught him several times copying the movements that the young dancers and I were doing. He was demonstrating the final position of "Running en diagonale" in ballet, correctly articulating several steps in tap and perfecting his splayed hands and stretched arms in jazz class.

It's probably too soon to enroll him in a class, but I think he's going to enjoy it once he's old enough to go!

By the time he is "old enough to attend" he may be teaching!
