Shining, gleaming, streaming, flaxen, waxen

For all those complaining that Elijah needed a haircut, here's proof that he has had his first haircut:I could only bear to cut the underneath layers at the back as they were the ones getting caught in his clothes and bibs. I actually cut his hair on July 22nd, but kept forgetting to post it! As for the front and sides, well, I guess I'll eventually get around to those bits. It's alright, it's only hair.

And for my mother, I have proof that you didn't cut my hair until I was 2 years and 4 months old. July 22nd makes it 2 years, 3 months, 1 week and 1 day.

This post qualifies as a Ruby Tuesday, which was started by Mary, but I found it at Quilly's place first. Post an original photo that contains something red on Tuesdays!

Oh! Someday we all have to have our first haircut, but I do so love Elijah's baby fine hair.

I have this irrational fear that if I cut the curls off, that's it - he'll have straight hair. The bits I cut already are not curling like the rest of his hair. I'm hoping that is just because of the weight of the hair over the top of those layers.

First haircuts are so sweet

You know, don't you, that the title of your post has planted that song in my head now! (And I know I'm dating myself just by saying that!) I'm sure you'll save these lovely hairsnips.

Welcome to Ruby Tuesday.

Such gorgeous red hair! No wonder you don't want to cut his hair! Happy Ruby Tuesday! :)

Welcome and thanks for stopping by!

Minkydo - this one has been coming for a while. I'm a master of procrastination.

Bobbie - that was my evil intention. And it doesn't necessarily date you - it could just mean you're a musical theatre buff like myself. ;-)

Mary - Yeah it's pretty special, especially since neither of Elijah's parents are redheads.
