Elijah artwork

We found this gem in Elijah's letterbox at child care. As you can probably see from the fold, the children were asked to create a butterfly by painting black on one side of the paper and orange on the other, then folding the paper in half to create the final image. I'd previously seen the entire class' work on display in the room and I have to admit that Elijah's was the one the most resembled a butterfly. What do you think?

See a resemblance to a butterfly. Did the children have a model to follow?

I'm not sure. I imagine that one of the teachers may have demonstrated the process for them first.
